A little thought on being love

Hey Guys! Hope this week is going well. I am praying for you and for the rest of the world during this time. I hope that you would join me in just praying for people, and praying for wisdom for doctors and our leaders too.

On another note,

I have been reading through a book called, “Everybody Always” By Bob Goff. It is such a great book. If you have not read it yet, you really should. It has stories from his life and travels and how he has encountered people and loved each person. Here is a little snippet from the last chapter I read.

“He doesn’t want us to just look different. He wants us to become love. It won’t be because we talked about who we wished we were over and over again or because we gave ourselves enough positive affirmations in the mirror. Only love has the power to get us there… He’s got His arms outstretched, welcoming us home to Him with love. I bet if we could hear what He’s thinking, we’d hear Him whispering, ‘You’ve got this. Just keep moving toward Me’. Do you want to do something amazing for God? Trade the appearance of being close to God for the power of actually being close to God. Quit talking a big game and go live a big faith. One of Jesus’ friends said if we want to get it right, we need to live a life worthy of the calling we’ve received. The call is to love God and the people around us while we live into the most authentic version of ourselves. We weren’t just an idea God hoped would work out someday. We were one of His most creative expressions of love, ever… go be you”(Pg. 66-67).

Being love to the people around us is simply becoming and being the people that He has created us to be. Not wavering from who we are, or how we act, but becoming more and more like Christ.

This week’s post is shorter than usual, but wanted to share this with you.

If you have any topics that you would like to hear about or are curious about, feel free to DM me! I would love to be able to interact with you guys!

Have a great week!

Know you are loved and prayed for!
